Polynesian in Utah

On a 3-day trip to Salt Lake Valley, I looked at how the Polynesian community is dealing with life in Utah. I realized that there are big Islander traditions in all parts of society, but also noticed that the youngest generation struggles a bit with finding their own identity.

Americans could speed up their journeys to work by not insisting on holding every elevator for everyone who wants to catch it as though it was one of the last helicopters leaving the roof of the Saigon embassy in 1975. There will be another lift along in a minute.

At a rally in Seattle, President Obama recently autographed an iPad.

Switched.com reported the story on Sylvester Cann, who asked Obama for his digital signature.
